Our mestres (musical directors) can be booked to lead private workshops in schools, businesses and parties. We hold enhanced CRB checks and are licensed Kent Music Teachers.

The different drums and rhythms played together in a large percussion band make samba workshops an ideal opportunity for teamwork. Our workshops can provide a unique experience in themselves or lead on to parades or other performances. No previous knowledge of drumming is necessary. Group workshops are usually led by our mestre Alex Mann and the band's instruments can be rented for the workshops by prior arrangement. Please contact us for further information.

From time to time we hold beginners' workshops which are open to the public. They are fun and because everybody is new and everything is taught from scratch they are a more gentle introduction than turning up to a normal band rehearsal. However, you do not need have to attended a workshop in order to join the band - you are very welcome to come along to our weekly evening practices in either Maidstone or Tunbridge Wells.

This has included 3 days at our Fun in the Sun days over 2010, where Alex provided the young people with an opportunity to try drumming.
