Interested in joining?

All are welcome. No previous experience is necessary and we’ll provide you with all the drums and equipment you'll need. Most of our members had never played samba before, but all are encouraged to:

  • Enjoy plenty of fun in a supportive learning environment

  • Join in friendly weekly rehearsals

  • Develop a solid sense of rhythm

  • Master simple choreography

  • Perform with the group at gigs

  • Build energy and fitness (useful for parading uphill playing a drum!)

We strive to perform at a high - but achievable - level in terms of energy, rhythm and choreography. Up for the challenge? We’d love to hear from you!

Our main band rehearses on Wednesday nights from 19:30 to 22:00, and our beginner intake sessions run on Tuesday nights at the same time and location — Mascalls Academy, Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood, Kent TN12 6LT (UK).

Our beginner sessions run every Tuesday evening, where new players start their Bloco Fogo journey.
